Heritage Ridge - October Newsletter!

Dear Heritage Ridge Residents,

We have included several neighborhood updates below. Please feel free to reply to this email or call our office if you have any questions!

Landscaping Updates

The sprinkler system for Heritage Ridge will be fully winterized beginning on Monday, October 28, 2019.

Native area reseeding/overseeding will be taking place in Spring of 2020 once the water is turned on. This expense will be paid for by the developer.

The District is looking into options for modifying the tree lawn area on the West side of 5th Street, to include replacing the area with matching turf and modifying the sprinkler system to accommodate the different irrigation needs. This will be discussed at the next District meeting.

Please remember to winter water all trees (including street trees) on your property! Trees need moisture throughout the year to thrive. Please see the winter watering article here for helpful tips.

Reminder regarding Street Trees: if your home is not part of the areas under warranty (map of warrantied homes, here), the Town of Berthoud is responsible for replacing any dead street trees on your property. You may submit a request by filling out the paperwork here: https://www.berthoud.org/departments/parks-recreation/forestry Scroll down to "Street Tree Replacement Program."

Pool Updates

We hope you enjoyed the pool this summer! The Board has determined to send out the pool survey in the spring once the 2020 pool budget and 2019 expenses are reviewed. Please look out for it by email (or mail, if we don't have an email for your address) in the first months of the year.

The District will be conducting a reserve study in 2020 to ensure the proper long term planning for necessary replacements at the pool.

Pool covers are still in the process of being ordered and installed. The pool is fully winterized for the season.

Remember that you can email the pool committee with any pool concerns or comments to heritagepool@ccgcolorado.com.

Covenants / Architectural Control Information

Trash cans. The Board will be discussing the trash can screening requirements at the next Board meeting, including possible allowances for modification of the front wing fence to better hide trash cans.

Basketball hoop / dog waste station survey. Results are in! You can view the survey summary by clicking here.

Reminder! All new homes have 180 days from the date of purchase to finish back yard landscaping. Depending on the timing, you may submit for an extension on this deadline. All exterior changes must be submitted to the Architectural Control Committee prior to beginning work on your property. You may find the ACC Submittal Form and other information here.

Board of Directors Meeting

The Board is rescheduling their next board meeting (including review and approval of the 2020 Budget) to the first week of December, 2019. We will send out a Save the Date as soon as it has been finalized.

Sincerely,

Heritage Ridge Metro District - Management Team
